.....Andep 's new directions

There is an increasing tendency in the Financial Planning industry to regard clients as a resource to be cultivated, harvested or even mined.

The industry offers services sometimes dependent more on the calendar than people's needs.  Many people need and want regular reviews of their financial affairs; but many only need initial guidance and reviews when their circumstances dictate.

Increasingly, as investment funds become better managed, the changes recommended at regular reviews are becoming marginal and the review process is tending more towards record keeping.

Against this background, it is time for change. Andep has arranged for its people who were conducting clients' regular reviews to move to another organisation and to invite the reviewed clients to follow them.

Andep will now concentrate on initial advice and reviews on an "as requested" basis. To assist clients in deciding whether their investments need review, Andep will regularly publish its "asset allocations" for clients with various attitudes to risk at http://www.digitalviIlage.com.au/andep. These allocations will also be available on request.

Clients are people, not resources.  Andep will tread lightly on the investment landscape, neither mining nor cultivating, but gathering its sustenance when the opportunity to help people arises.

Andep's fifteen year commitment to analysis with independence continues.

and a new service.....

Some people prefer to choose their own investments. If they do, they should not have to pay the Large commissions involved even if the investments are lodged directly with the manager. Discount Investment Originators of Australasia exists to help these people.   It will offer a "No advice. Minimum commissions" investment origination  service.  The  service  operates  under  conditions  described  at http://www.digitalvillage.com.au/DiscountInvestment.
